  • California Divorce Council consultants have helped thousands of people all over California --- people who have discovered that divorce does not have to be expensive, ugly or complicated.

  • California Divorce Council is for people who don’t want to pay thousands of dollars to have attorneys do simple things they can do for themselves.

  • California Divorce Council is for people who have already made up their minds that they want a divorce.
California law now allows people to obtain a divorce without fault or blame on the grounds of “irreconcilable differences.”

If you and your spouse agree on matters of the division of property, custody of minor children and support, YOU CAN DO YOU OWN DIVORCE. It’s simply a matter of paperwork, and that’s what WE do.

Our qualified Legal Document Assistants will help you step by step through the process with educational information and clerical typing services. You make the decisions, we do most of the work.

We can also help you with typing services and procedural information for annulments and legal separations. We will also type your completed marital settlement agreement, if needed, for a modest additional fee.

We prepare the required forms with the information you provide, and send them to you at the appropriate time and WE STAY WITH YOU UNTIL THE DIVORCE IS FINAL.

We use the book, How To Do Your Own Divorce in California, by Attorney Charles E. Sherman, which provides a great deal of information that you will find helpful in making your decisions about your divorce.

We are Legal Document Assistants. Attorneys represent people. We help people who represent themselves. If you want someone to represent you, you will need to hire an attorney. If you want to “do it yourself,” we can help.

We believe that you should educate yourself on issues pertaining to your case. You can do this by seeking legal advice from an attorney and/or reading self-help publications such as those published by Nolo Press and others.

We are NOT attorneys and we do NOT give legal advice.

Our fee is $300.00. The only additional cost is your County’s filing fee
which differs in each county and is subject to change without notice.

Let us assist you in the preparation of your documents.
Contact our office either by phone or e-mail.
